Behind many successful women, is often a supportive partner who stands by their side offering unwavering encouragement and assistance. As the founder and sole designer of all things KeriKit, I am immensely grateful for the incredible support my husband Scott has provided throughout my entrepreneurial journey. I want to express my deep appreciation for his role as a loving and supportive husband and a dedicated father to our children and share how his support has been instrumental in the growth of my business.
1. A pillar of encouragement:
Starting a business can be daunting, but Scott has been an unwavering source of encouragement and strength when I needed it. His belief in my abilities and his continuous words of support have given me the confidence to pursue my dreams and overcome the challenges that many times made me want to give up.
2. Balancing Roles:
Juggling the demands of entrepreneurship, especially as a mother can be overwhelming but Scott has been a true partner in every sense. He has actively taken on shared responsibilities, allowing me to focus on growing my business while ensuring our children receive the love and care that they deserve.
3. Emotional Support:
Behind every successful business is a strong support system. During moments of doubt and stress, my husband has been my rock by providing an ear when I need to rant, and a shoulder when I need to cry. Being backed 100% by someone who loves you is often the very thing you need over and above everything else as being an entrepreneur can be very lonely, especially if you live rurally as I do. I sometimes wonder why he sticks around but I am so grateful he does!
4. Building A Strong Family Foundation:
Entrepreneurship often requires sacrifice and Scott’s support along with my mother and our au pair has allowed me to pursue my passion while maintaining a strong family foundation. His presence as a devoted father has created a nurturing and loving environment for our children, enabling me to focus on my business with peace of mind that my children are loved by not just me but by three other people when I am away.
5. A Vision For The Future:
As I continue to grow my business, I’m grateful to have a partner who shares my vision for the future. He has helped me to navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, allowing us to dream together and work towards a shared and fulfilling future filled with love, memories and laughter.
As I reflect on my entrepreneurial path, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support my husband Scott has provided. I really and truly could not have done this without his support. I am trying my best to be a success, as much for myself as for him as I want to prove to him he was right to believe in me and my brand.
Let’s celebrate those exceptional husbands, partners and fathers in our lives by acknowledging and honouring the love and support they give to us driven, motivated (and sometimes pigheaded) women that just won’t give up. (But also who need a cuddle when the chips are down).
